Psalms Chapter 108. GOD!!!
This psalm is written by David and he shares his heart toward God.
1. He desires to sing and make music with all his soul.
2. He desires to play instruments as he praises and sings among the peoples.
3. David is in awe of God's love and faithfulness and he is drawn to exalt Him.
4. David asked for the Lord's salvation amongst his enemies. In faith he declares God's victory over them.
5. David seeks God's help for he knows human help is worthless when God is not in it.
6. David declares that with God comes the victory. It is only through God that he's able to trample down the enemies.
What is my heart like toward God? In my quiet time with God I love to quietly sing praises to Him. In corporate worship at church I love to sing and clap and praise the Lord.
David even praised and sang among the peoples. He was not ashamed. Am I ashamed to declare God's love and goodness among the people around me? Do the people I come in contact with see my heart of joy for the Lord? Am I different in an attractive way? Or do I look just like everybody else around me? God, I want to be different and praise you with every word that comes out of my mouth and every action that I make, no matter who I'm with or who I'm around.
What are my struggles? Do I trust the Lord to help me have victory over all my struggles like David believed God would save him from all his enemies? Who do I put my trust in? Where does victory really come from? It's in God only I must put my trust and it is God from whom I have victory. I must quit trying to do things in My own strength. May I always cry out to God and trust Him in all things and give him all the glory and all the praise.
