Psalms Chapter 68. God's got an army!
Verse 17 of this chapter jumped out to me. It says, “The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands; the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary.”
In other words, he has a powerful army with unlimited amounts of chariots and horses. The strength of one's army was often determined by how many horses and chariots they had. So God's army is unlimited and beyond all others. But because we don't see this army we worry and fret and live in fear. But let us trust in God in all things for God's power and army is able to overcome anything we face.
2nd Kings chapter 6 is the story of Elisha who would prophesy to Israel all the words of king of Aram. King of Aram wanted to go in battle against Israel but Israel was always prepared. This enraged the king of Aram and he found out that Elisha was forewarning Israel. So the king of Aram surrounded Elisha's place with many chariots and horses and soldiers. Then fear fell upon Elisha's servant when he saw the enemies army. Elisha told his servant not to worry for God's army was greater than the king of Aram's army. Elisha prayed that God would open the servant's eyes so he could see God's army. The servant saw the army of God was FULL of horses and chariots of fire around Elisha.
1. In faith, Elisha told his servant not to worry.
2. In faith he believed God's army was present and
3. In faith, he believed God would defeat the enemy.
1. So may we, in faith, trust God through whatever circumstances we are going through.
2. In Faith, may we believe God's army is present even though we don't see it.
3. In faith, may we even speak in a manner that shows we are confident in what God is going to do.
