Psalms chapter 61 Jesus is The Rock!

Good Morning! Continued prayers go out.

With everything going on around us, we need help. We need solid ground to stand upon. The psalmist cries out for the Rock which reminds me that Jesus is the rock of our salvation. Jesus is the only hope we have that is solid ground. Without him we are lost. He is our cornerstone from which to build our lives upon.

Verse 2 of this chapter says “lead me to the rock” and we know who that is from Psalm 18:2.
“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Psalm 118:22 states that the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

This verse is referred back to various times in the New Testament such as in Matthew 21:42.
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
