   Verse 6 stood out to me today as it talked about those who fell into a pit that they dug and meant for someone else. May God help us to not ever be pit diggers or make plans that would cause harm to others. This reminded me of what happened to Haman when he plotted to kill Mordecai and the Jews.

   Psalm 57:6
   They set a net for my steps; my soul was bowed down. They dug a pit in my way, but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah

   I’m sure that there are many other verses related to this. Here are some of them:

   Psalm 9:15
   The nations have sunk in the pit that they made; in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught.

   Psalm 119:85
   The insolent have dug pitfalls for me; they do not live according to Your law.

   Proverbs 26:27
   Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling.

   Proverbs 28:10
   Whoever misleads the upright into an evil way will fall into his own pit, but the blameless will have a goodly inheritance.

   Ecclesiastes 10:8
   He who digs a pit will fall into it, and a serpent will bite him who breaks through a wall.

   Mark 9:42
   “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.”

   Esther 7:9-10
   Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said, “Moreover, the gallows that Haman has prepared for Mordecai, whose word saved the king, is standing at Haman’s house, fifty cubits high.” And the king said, “Hang him on that.” So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the wrath of the king abated.

   Galatians 6:7
