Psalm Chapter 56. Don't be afraid!
Good Morning Friends!
The psalmist asks for mercy because his enemies attack. The moment fear comes upon him he says I will trust in God. He prays for God's intervention. The psalmist relies on the words of God and praises him for his Word. He gives thanks to God for deliverance.
This passage makes me think of a child who embraces his dad. A child recognizes his need for a father and his dad's help, wisdom, strength and security.
So Lord, as a child goes to his dad, so I come to you. I trust you God to deliver me from any kind of opposition. When Satan strikes me with fear, I will respond by putting my trust in you for you are not a God of fear. I praise you father and I praise your Word which brings life. I thank you father for bringing victory and deliverance in my life each and every day as I face new obstacles and challenges and trials.
There are at least 80 passages that talk about fear. Here are four passages that I like:
1. John 14:27
2. 1st John 4:18
3. Isaiah 43:1 and
4. Psalm 27:1
Don't fear. Trust God. He delivers. Praise and thank him!
