Psalm chapter 50. Better to obey than sacrifice.
I appreciate you all!
The Lord is frustrated with Israel because they are very ritualistic with their faith. They go through all the church rituals but their heart is far from God. They disobey his command and do evil.
The Lord says that just because you do these things and I seem silent about it, doesn't mean I'm giving my approval for your disobedience. In fact I'm prolonging my judgment and hoping for repentance. But my judgment is coming.
He says the only way to escape his discipline or judgment is to have a heart for him: a Heart of obedience and thankfulness.
Dear Lord forgive me when I go through the motions. Forgive me when I ignore your word with my heart. Help me be 100% sold out for you and your word, and your son Jesus. Help me to be blameless, to be obedient, to be a thankful servant for all you do. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Lord, I echo my brother’s prayer. Amen
Miss you! Thanks for the comment!
This chapter reminded me of Matthew 15:7-9,
You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: “‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me; in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
