Psalm Chapter 33. Who is our God?
This chapter brings these thoughts to my mind.
Who is this God we serve? He is the creator of all things. His power is matchless. No one can stand against him. Shame on us when we brag of our accomplishments, when it is God who enables us to succeed or it is God who humbles us when pride comes in. Shame on us when we put our hope in ourselves or other things. God is the holder of all truth. Why do we seek it elsewhere? God is Holy and God is love. God is a God of Justice.
If God is who he says he is and more, then we should want to praise Him and praise him with our whole being, shouting for joy with all we have, including with our lives. We should fear him knowing he is above us and therefore be holy in his sight. We should put our hope in God and no one or nothing else.
God help me praise you always. Help me fear you so I stay Holy in your sight. Help me put my hope and trust always and only in you. Thank you for your unfailing love.

This chapter reminds us about who God is and it closes with these words in verse 22.
“Let Your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in You.”
