Job Chapter 20.  Let Your Life Speak for Itself.
Zophar speaks to Job and he is persistent in assuming Job is deserving of all his suffering and he is persistent in saying it's because Job is evil and wicked before God.
I have done and said things that have influenced outsiders to assume that I was evil and not really committed to God's truth. People will hear rumors and draw their own conclusions about others, and more often than not, their conclusions are wrong. Satan is a master at deception and influences us to assume the worst about another even when we don't really know the whole story nor do we know the heart of the person.
I want so bad to prove my innocence but I have learned that time is often what justifies the innocent. We want to fight with our words to try and prove our innocence but such words mean nothing once you are accused. People want to see truth from the accused.
I feel you prove your innocence with consistency verses with words or with one good act.
Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, both of them are an abomination to the Lord.”
Based on this verse let us be careful what conclusion we draw about others and what we say about others based upon very limited facts and limited understanding.
For those who are being accused I like Matthew 5:16 that says, “In the same way let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.”
There will always be people who will speak against you, but one's true integrity will be known and seen and supported by those who see the consistency of God's love in your life.
