Nehemiah Chapter 9. His Compassions Never Fail.
This chapter was kind of like going down memory lane because there's a reflection on how God has been so gracious and his children have been rebellious. But because of God's great love he continued to pursue the Israelites and now they are pursuing God with all their hearts.
As I read this chapter, I thought of Lamentations 3:22-23 that says, “Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning! Great is thy faithfulness!”
God's love is so great for us that each new day is filled with new compassion's from our loving God. I pray that with each new day, I will be filled with a new and greater love for the Lord. I pray that this love would be demonstrated through my pursuit of Him and His Word, plus through my obedience to His Word.

PB, those exact verses in Lamentations are ones that God has shown me in the past two days! That is so cool!
This passage has the longest prayer recorded in the Bible. It’s a prayer of reflection and reminds us to not worry or focus on tomorrow or next week or next month but to reflect on what He has already done in our lives … His blessings, His answers to our prayers. When I look back and reflect on my life, I can hardly believe all He has done. Thank you, Lord, for continuing to work in me and never giving up on me. So much love that You died in my place.
Indeed, our God is an awesome God!
I was reminded from reading the chapter today about Psalm 145:4-9.
“One generation shall commend Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of Your awesome deeds, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of Your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and His mercy is over all that He has made.”
