2nd Chronicles Chapter 32. Why are you Worrying?
When King of Assyria came against King Hezekiah in Jerusalem, the people were afraid because the king of Assyria surrounded them. King Hezekiah encouraged his men by saying, “Don't be discouraged because the enemies power is the power in their own arms. But we have greater power because we have the Lord our God to help us fight our battles.”
This is a great passage because every day we face obstacles and it's easy to be consumed with the obstacles. It's easy to be consumed to the point where we are drawn to discouragement and hopelessness. We let Satan break us down and lose faith and trust in our Lord. Once we do that we worry and fret.
I lost my phone in a sewer pit full of greywater. It's 15 ft deep. I tried getting it out with a swimming pool pole and net. But to no success. My mind immediately wanted to worry and fret and be consumed with the problem. But I kept telling myself this is God's phone being used for his purpose. If He wants me to retrieve and find the phone then I will. I had to keep telling myself, don't let it consume you. Trust God and don't be discouraged. Let him work and be glorified however he wants to. If things don't go our way, it's easy to get upset with God and be discouraged. Lord help me trust you and praise you when things are good but also trust and praise you when things don't go my way.

Think about this. When we have Jesus, we really can’t lose.
I am reminded today of Philippians 1:18-21.
What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
