2nd Chronicles chapter 6. How Great thou art!
Good morning my friends!!!
The temple is completed and King Solomon speaks before all Israel and:
1. Gives words of Glory to God for the completion of the Temple that God promised.
2. He prays that when Israel turns from God and sins, that they would become aware of their sin and turn back to God and repent.
3. He gives a prayer of dedication wanting the Temple to be a place where people can meet and see God and know that he is real.
4. King Solomon invites God into his new dwelling place within the temple.
I pray God would give us the self-awareness to know when we are losing focus of him and getting distracted cuz of the things happening in this world.
I pray we would repent from the sins that are hurting our relationship with the Lord and have mercy and strength to return with Him. May we never be content with mediocracy.
I pray that when people see our lives that they see a transformation of love that makes others realize God is real and that Jesus is real and the Holy Spirit is real. God please empower our lives with Yourself!
May we daily invite the Holy Spirit to live and dwell in and through our lives that it would be a testimony of Jesus himself. I want people to come to know Jesus because of how the Holy Spirit is using us. Help us Jesus!

The temple was completed and Solomon spoke to the people. It was built according to plan, but I was thinking about how a building dedicated for God can sometimes be misunderstood. Some people get the wrong idea that the church is a building instead of God’s people. There might be certain expectations of how to behave in that building, but then think that it’s ok to act differently beyond those four walls. Do we ever try to set boundaries or limit God in some way to only find out that He can’t be contained within any box that we might try to fit Him into? God wants all of us, not just bits and pieces that we might have leftover to give on a Sunday. I was reminded today of what Paul spoke to the Athenians in Acts 17:24-25.
“The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.”
