WE DID IT!!!! WE COMPLETED OUR FIRST YEAR OF WORKING TOGETHER THROUGH THE BIBLE – GOD'S HOLY WORD! I HAVE SO MUCH ENJOYED THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER WITH EACH OF YOU! I HAVE BEEN INSPIRED, ENCOURAGED, AND CHALLENGED! I LOVE YOU ALL! THANK YOU!!
First Chronicles chapter 27. Aware – Equipped – Go!
In this chapter he talked about how the army was divided into different divisions and each division consisted of 24,000 men. And they had a leader over each division. To be more powerful than one's enemy you needed well trained and a skilled fighters and you needed good resources such as horses and chariots, shield and sword.
Today, we still need to be properly equipped to fight the spiritual battles we face. There's a spiritual war going on and we have to be AWARE of the enemy. We have to be EQUIPPED to fight the enemy. We have to GO and go together as one body of believers.
- AWARE. We must be aware that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of this world (Ephesians 6:12 and I Peter 5:6-8). The enemy, the devil, is always sneaking around trying to find a crack in our armor so he can deceive us. A famous football player encouraged kids to take their Bibles to school. As a result, the media made false accusations stating that this football player hated homosexuals. When confronted by the media he said he never said that. But because he felt so beat up he took his kids and family to the public school to sit and listen to a transgender read stories to the children. He caved to the media pressure. He needs our prayers because he wasn't aware of Satan's attack and he wasn't equipped to fight the lies of the world.
- EQUIPPED. We have to be equipped for battle. I think it would be great if we had numerous people in each Church praying for their congregation to be able to stand up against the enemy and not cave to the pressure or compromise one's faith. We have to be equipped for battle or we will be easily defeated. We have to be strong in the Lord and his mighty power (Ephesians 6:10) and we must put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17). we must be in the word of God which is our sword to fight against the enemy just as Jesus did when tempted by the devil (Matthew 4). 2nd Corinthians 10:3-4 reminds us we don't fight with the weapons of the world but we have divine power to overcome Satan in battle. Once equipped we can go and have victory.
- GO. Matthew 28:28-20 and Acts 1:8 tells us that we are instructed to go into the world and reach lost souls. And we are reminded that we have God's power and authority when we go. And the weapons we fight with is God's word, God's love and God's truth! We can't compromise. We can't back down from God's truth. Our daily walk must be our GO while living a life different from the world and we are not afraid to stand up for the truth of Jesus while proclaiming the salvation message, the gospel.
We must be aware are the enemy.
We must be properly equipped to fight the enemy.
We must be willing to go and fight the enemy while living and sharing God's Gospel.

Thank you for offering this inspirational, thought-provoking, sometimes humbling start to my day for the last year.
The year has passed quickly, and I am so looking forward to what you have to offer in the coming year. Blessings to you and your ministry. Have a great day!
Thank you so much Janet! It’s great having you on board! Have a Blessed Day!
It’s been a blessing reading such amazing insight and connections with bible verses this past year! Thank you to everyone participating <3
We read in verse 31 that all these were stewards of King David’s property. Each one had a specific job to do.
God has a job for us to do. I heard about Drew Brees being attacked by the media whenever he was encouraging kids to take their Bibles to school. He was being a good steward by using his influence to help kids get closer to God and the world didn’t like it. They tried to falsely accuse him, but God was still able to use him and make even more people know more about bringing a Bible to school. I’m not sure if that’s the same football player that Pastor Blair referred to, but I do admire him for using the platform he has to live out his faith. May we be good stewards of all that God allows us to be blessed with including our time, talent and possessions.
I was reminded today of 1 Peter 4:8-11.
“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
