First Chronicles chapter 25. What are your gifts? Are you letting God use them?
Some men were set apart for the ministry of prophesying with musical instruments to praise and thank the Lord. They were all trained and skilled in music.
They cast lots to determine their duties.
These men were put into responsibilities that reflected their gifts, talents and abilities. This forced me to evaluate myself. What are my gifts, talents and abilities? Am I using them to the fullest? I like to speak but that doesn't happen much. I know I have weaknesses and I feel this last year has been a time of God exposing my weaknesses (which can be painful) so He can make me a better servant for the Lord and for the Body of Christ.
So Lord, help me use my gifts to the fullest and continue to help me with my weaknesses (as much as I dislike it while it's happening) so I become more efficient as your servant. I want you to Impact my life so I can impact the lives of others.

We read in this chapter about how there were 288 skillful men trained in singing to the Lord and they were made up of 24 groups with 12 in each group. I agree with Pastor Blair’s observation about men not stepping up to fill the roles that they should be filling in today’s culture. There’s been an attack on the family and many men are not acting like the true men that God intended for them to be. This issue was also pointed out in a movie that I recommend watching called Courageous.
I was reminded today of 1 Corinthians 16:13-14.
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
