First Chronicles Chapter 22. Too busy to be busy for the Lord.
King David makes preparations for the house of the Lord to be built in his dying days. He's serving the Lord up to his dying days. May I never retire from doing the Lord's work. David makes a great deal of preparations and gathers several resources so his son can build the Temple of the Lord. How many people are needed to accomplish it? God is to be in charge. David's son is encouraged to seek the Lord with all his heart for wisdom and guidance and provisions and then he is instructed to get busy. Don't sit around.
We are all called to Ministry whether it be the ministry that occurs in and through our lives daily or the ministry that we are apart of within the church. No matter what, it's hard work and you need preparation and resources. You need leaders and workers. You need to seek the Lord with all your heart and get busy. One can't sit around and do nothing spiritually. You can be busy but actually be doing nothing for the kingdom.
What am I doing for the kingdom? What preparation still need to be made? Am I supposed to be one of the leaders or one of the workers? How much prayer do I put in as I prepare each day for the work God has for me? Is my prayer with all my heart soul mind and strength? Do I have the right attitude that I want to go and be used by God? Do I want to be busy doing the work of the Lord? What's holding me back? What am I so busy doing that I don't have time to be busy doing what God has called me to do? God I make myself available to you. Use me how you want to use me. Help me in my daily walk with you so that I am a bright light in a dark world. Also help me to be busy in Ministry within the church body, whatever that means or whatever that is.
