1st Chronicles Chapter 11. Becoming a Mighty Warrior for Christ.
David's mighty warriors were known as mighty because of great feats they accomplished in battle. It was all about their ability to overtake the enemy. To win battles you need people who are able to overtake the enemy. It's the same as with Jesus. He too is looking for mighty warriors. Male and female who are willing to be used in spiritual warfare. To become a great spiritual warrior one must have these qualities:
- Surrendered heart. A surrendered heart is willing to give God control versus being in control. It's the ability to operate from the power of His Holy Spirit versus our own power.
- Self-disciplined. Being self-disciplined means we are able to put aside our busy schedule so we can spend time with the Lord learning and growing daily.
- Sword. We need to fight with our sword which is the word of God (Ephesians chapter 6:10-17). It's reading and learning the word of God which is our weapon to defeat the enemy.
- Christ first. Learning to live out your daily life with Christ in the foremost part of our mind so that no matter where we are and what we're doing we want to make it about Jesus. Whether it be our home, our family, our relationships, our workplace, our entertainment, etc. (Colossians 3:17)
- Love. Love is the key for breaking down the Walls of the enemy so that the truth of Christ can break through their hard hearts.

When I saw verse 41 while reading about the mighty men in this chapter, I was instantly reminded about the integrity of Uriah the Hittite and then also the terrible mistake that David made in what he did to him.
I would like to share Proverbs 10:9.
Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.
