1st Chronicles chapter 6.  What in the world am I doing?
Many genealogies were given of the sons of Levi. We read about Azariah who served as a priest in the Temple. We read about the musicians who played in the Temple. We read about the Levites who took care of all the other duties of the Temple. One of the comments about the musicians was “They played according to the regulations given to them.”
The Levites also had strict guidelines for doing offerings and other duties in the temple. A lot of emphasis was on being holy before the Lord.
When we come before the Lord at church, what is our attitude?
1. Do we come before the Lord holy? Do we want to get right before the Lord so our prayers and praises are acceptable to him?
2. Or is our time at church merely a tradition? We are merely putting in our time.
3. Our mind and heart is not all about serving in the church and not about true worship or about learning or about being challenged. It's more about putting in our time.
God, forgive me when I don't make it ALL ABOUT YOU.
When I enter Church:
1. Help me give 100% of my life.
2. Help me be holy.
3. Help me be willing to serve and show me how I can serve you more in the church.
And Lord, when I enter into your presence daily:
1. May I be willing to give one hundred percent of my life.
2. May I be willing to be holy throughout the day.
3.  And may I be willing to be used by you in ministering to those around me. Thank you!
