You ALL are Awesome! Joshua chapter 12.
A description is given of all the kings, land and territory that the Israelites defeated and took over east and west of the Jordan River, which included 31 Kings in all!!!
What a great testimony!!! I love to hear testimonies of God working in and through people's lives. It's encouraging. It's uplifting. It helps keep me believing that God's not done doing great and mighty things, miracles. It helps me keep pursuing the things of the Lord. It helps me keep focused on people's needs around me so lives can be impacted for Jesus.
One of our summer camps this year was called “World-Changer.” Its focus is on learning how to share our faith. We want to teach the campers different ways to share their faith. Its focus is on connecting with people, gaining their trust and sharing one's faith. My goal is to have four people each sharing a different technique on how to share one's faith. I have three people helping with this camp and wanted one more. I called Vicky Pastrick of Corry to be a missionary speaker during Family Camp and she just flooded me with testimonies of how they have shared their faith to so many people in Peru and Corry PA and how people have responded. So I asked her to be a missionary speaker during Family Camp but also asked her to help teach the kids during our “World-Changer Camp”. I'm so excited because each teen got a chance to share with someone. I’m hoping we can do the same thing next year.

It was good to hear from Vicki Pasterik at Edinboro Camp this summer when she shared about how God has been at work in her life.
As I read about the 31 kings in chapter 12, I thought about all those people who were defeated by the Israelites. Some tried to join forces to be more powerful against them, but that didn’t work. Then I thought about how the inhabitants of Gibeon were able to trick the Israelites and their lives were spared.
I’m reminded of Romans 8:31.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Thank you for sharing about the wonderful missionary Blair! Great points Jim, and I love that Romans verse.
Although it may seem trivial to some, Corry Perkins is closing which is a staple in the community. My husband and I had breakfast there today and a good friend of ours who is also a waitress was explaining how they were all given about less than a weeks notice and many of them were not sure what they were going to do without the job. They have to find a buyer in 3 days, or that’s it. Another empty building for Corry. A dozen or more jobs lost in the community.
I am not sure what work God is doing in this situation. Whether He is leading those people in a different life direction, a new chapter, or bringing in a buyer by Tuesday, we will have to wait and see. What I do know is that God is in control. As I talked to my mom about it closing, the unlikelihood of a buyer, and what all those employees will do, I brought up the chapter in Joshua where the Israelites defeated the kings and their enormous armies. Nothing is too much for God to handle and none of His Children’s prayers are too small to be answered. His will be done, as we trust whatever may come.
