Good morning! Well today is the completion of the book of Exodus. I'm proud of you guys for your persistence being in God's word, which gives us life and purpose. Keep it up.
Exodus chapter 40.
For whatever reason surrender is in my mind.
1. God is calling us for a purpose. Are we listening? If I'm not surrendered then how will I hear God's voice, or better yet, how will I recognize his voice?
2. I need God so much!! He wants to dwell within me not through a cloud by day nor a fire at night but wants to dwell within me through his Holy Spirit. Am I surrendered? Am I a Holy Temple? Daily surrendered with a broken heart, wanting more of God and less of me is what he seeks.
3. God, I surrender all to you. Make me holy. Dwell within me and show me the direction you have for me. Speak to me through your Holy Spirit and may I listen and obey all you command me! Reveal your purpose so all I do and say brings glory to your name.
As we complete the final chapter of Exodus today, I’m thinking of the many things that have happened in this book. We have seen the life of Moses from when he was just a baby placed in a basket on the Nile River to now being an old man who God has used in leading His people out of slavery. We’ve seen God’s power displayed in many ways such as the 10 plagues, God’s protection from the Egyptians, and God’s provision of food, water and clothes that keep on lasting in the desert. God’s law was given and God dwelt with His people. We’ve seen obedience and disobedience, blessings and curses, and the sparing of life through the blood of a lamb. There’s so much that points to Jesus in this book. One day He would come as a baby and be taken to the land of Egypt to escape death from another evil ruler who was trying to kill the baby boys similar to what we saw when Moses was a baby. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. (John 1:29) May we be completely surrendered to Him.

Moses gives us a wonderful example of the qualities of a great leader during the construction of the tabernacle. He gives the exact divine plans and directions to others on the team who have been given the skills needed; he followed up on the finished work to see that it was done according to God’s plan and then he praised the people who had participated.
Exodus begins in gloom (with the Israelites in slavery in Egypt) and ends in glory (with a tabernacle built for God, inhabited by His presence and ready to lead them on their journey to the promised land). It’s like our walk with Him. We start as slaves to sin, are redeemed by God, and end our walk by living with Him forever. Thank you, Father!

Can I just say how blessed I feel to be in the virtual presence of all of you!! Each of the comments help me to grow and reflect and understand Gods way in a new and helpful way. I appreciate each of you so very much.
Surrendering to God is so important. It is the key to walking with Him in our human lives and the key to gaining eternal life with Him forever. Tuning out or turning down the noise of everyday life and just being still in the quiet to hear the plans He has for our lives.
I pray as we continue on in this bible study I can turn down more of the noise and focus deeply and solely on a life well lived with and for the Lord.
