Exodus chapter 38.
We see the men continuing to build that which God had commanded. Only a few skilled workers did the detailed work. It would be easy to feel jealous and think “I wish I could be that talented!” But in reality we all have our own gifts and talents and God wants us to be faithful with what we have versus worrying about what we don't have. God may have more for us and will let those other gifts shine through us overtime, but again we can't let us covet other's gifts or let jealousy or hatredness rule in our hearts. We should rejoice in our gifts and rejoice in the gifts of others, which is not always easy for me.

The explanation of the construction continues in this chapter. Everything had to be built in a specific way that God directed. May we listen to and follow God’s ways so that our lives will also be built according to His plan.
I find the wilderness tabernacle fascinating but especially the bronze laver. It was made from the women’s polished, bronze mirrors. The symbolism isn’t hard to see. We look in a spiritual mirror and see every blemish that we can’t deny. The laver is filled with water for washing. If we confess our sin, He forgives. On our path we stumble and get dirty again and again. But with daily renewing of our mind, with clean hands & hearts (Psalm 24:4), we walk by faith. Lord, let the laver do its work in me; let me walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.
…Just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, So that He might sanctify her, having cleanser her by the washing of water with the word … (Ephesians 5:25b, 26)
Wow, I love the explanation of the bronze laver! I didn’t realize this and see that symbolism!
I also pray to listen to the way God wants to build my life! God considers each of us the skilled builder of our own life. Each day we can bring our best talents and help to further His Kingdom. I pray just like the builders are building with exact detail, care, and focus, so can we! Let us not waste a single day!
