Keep loving Jesus! Exodus chapter 35.
In this chapter we see God calls for people who are willing and whose hearts are moved to bring offerings and he calls and equips people with skills and abilities to do the work of the Lord.
God is calling us, his people, to offer our possessions and ourselves for his work and to further his kingdom.
1. Lord, I am willing to be used by you.
2. Lord, I offer my life and possessions so they can be used for your purpose so as to further your Kingdom.
3. Lord, fill me with your Holy Spirit because I don't feel adequate nor do I feel qualified. But you don't call the qualified you qualify the called. You're just looking for a willing heart.
4. And because my heart is willing give me the wisdom and knowledge and understanding and the gifts and abilities so that I can be used to the fullest.
5. Lord, if you wish to use me to teach or Mentor others, I make myself available.
This is my heart but my mind struggles with feeling adequate. I have to daily seek the Lord for his help and the moving of his Holy Spirit so that I can feel confident in Christ knowing that he is capable and willing to work through me.
We read in this chapter about what Moses shares with the people about what God has commanded. We see how there is a time to work and a time to rest. The work gets done because of those with willing hearts. May our hearts be willing to give and do what God asks us to.

I keep coming back to two things, whose heart is stirred and whose spirit is willing. I had a somewhat frustrating conversation last night that I think comes back to these two things. We all have gifts, talents, resources, etc., but do we use them and what is our motivation? There is a lot there to think about.
I am blessed to know that the Spirit spoke to you through my comments. God bless you & yours in your walk with Him.
“Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring an offering to the Lord.” The offering wasn’t just goods but also talents/skills. Generous people aren’t necessarily faithful to God; but faithful people are always generous. It’s not about how much we give but the spirit in which we give.
Sarah, I wanted to respond to your yesterday’s comment on how you don’t like to be in the teacher’s lounge and listen to all the negative talk and gossip. Plus you mentione that you are a little afraid to confront them on it.
Here’s a suggestion: I have this one lady who comes to the camp a lot and right away starts talking about other people. Instead of confronting her on it, I’ll say something positive about the person she’s criticizing. I don’t say it in a way to belittle her, I speak just as if we are having a conversation. It more often ends the negative talk because I try and keep it positive. Now that’s a 1 on 1 situation. In a group setting, you may not get the same results. But it’s a chance for them to hear more positive comments, and perhaps over time, it may result in less negative talk. Just a thought!
Thank you Blair, I will definitely try that! As well as praying for them of course. Sometimes I feel my heart turning bitter against them when I know that is definitely not the answer.
God has created us for a divine purpose. May we pray, listen, discern and obey!
