Good morning ALL!
Exodus chapter 27. Once again you see that everything made is very particular and meticulous. Each area made has its own particular purpose. May we seek the Lord with all our heart so that his spirit makes clear what our purpose is. And may we be obedient in carrying out that purpose. Also as the lamp stand is to be lit all night long so it shines in darkness for the Lord so may Our Lives be a bright light in a dark world for the Lord. May we not compromise the things of this world.

Sarah, thanks for the compliment in yesterday’s comments. I too appreciate the members of this group and ENJOY reading what each person has to say. It too has helped broaden my thinking and given me insight in new areas! At the same time, don’t cut yourself short. You are every bit a child of the King, filled with the Holy Spirit, sharing great comments that are both insightful and transparent! And often are humbling because it helps me stop and focus more carefully on my life and become more aware of my choices and actions before God.
I honestly feel others in the group feel the same as you…fearful what they have to say won’t be very good. So I encourage each of you keep responding! I Love each and every comment! I Love and Appreciate each of you!! What a Blessing you ALL are!!!
Amen!! Be encouraged! We are learning until the day He calls us home.
I was reminded of Matthew 5:16 today while reading about the lamp that was set up to burn regularly.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Sarah, I wholeheartedly agree with Pastor Blair’s comment. I have really enjoyed what each person has shared in this group and I look forward to reading from the various perspectives as I believe that this can help each of us to grow more in our faith. Your responses and insight have been so encouraging to me and I’m sure to others as well. I think that there is much that you bring to the table even if maybe you might not feel like it at times. I don’t want to become prideful, but I do feel honored that you would consider me as fitting in the same category as Pastor Blair and Jeanine with having an ability to understand and know scripture. I’m really just a sinner simply saved by grace. Anything good that might seem to come from me would actually be from Jesus. I’m humbled that He might use me in the process of reaching and teaching others. I’m thankful for God’s many blessings as all the glory belongs to Him!
Thank you ALL!! I appreciate your responses.
Tonight I am thinking about the HUGE responsibility Aaron and his sons had keeping the lamp burning. Not only have they been commanded by God, but they are also the first ones to be complete a job and be an example for the ordinance of generations to come to keep the lamp burning.
Some might say, keep a lamp burning? That’s an easy job, or in the big scheme of things, how important is it really?
In my life as a wife, mother, daughter, teacher, sister, friend, I do not always feel like my actions live up to my expectations of what I should be. Sometimes I am tired, or lackluster, burnt out… and I think well m, who am I anyways to fulfill the duties of these jobs to a golden standard… yet just like Aaron and his sons, we are ALL called by God to fulfill many jobs. We all have purpose in our roles.
I hope to focus on the responsibilities in these different roles and remember that God sees me as a vital role in the lives of many, and who knows those who may be watching my example.
Not a spiritual insight, but reading about the lamp tonight reminded me of the college I attended. There is a monument in the center of campus called the eternal flame that burns continuously.
