Exodus chapter 26.
God is very particular when it comes to the Tabernacle: the place where he will call his home. He put a lot of work into his Tabernacle. The most holy place is the room where the Ark of Covenant will be. The most holy place is the actual room that God will dwell. The Tabernacle as a whole will be very particular and meticulous and Class A Using skilled workers. When I think about me, God put a lot of work in helping make me holy.
1. God sent Jesus to die for my sins and forgiveness so I can be clean and holy.
2. He sent his holy spirit to dwell within me to teach me his ways and to change me and conform me into the image of Christ.
3. His holy spirit is always with me and I get to choose what actions I take… Good or bad. I need to take it seriously. Work hard. Not be sloppy but particular and meticulous with my faith and about my choices so as to ensure I am a holy servant for the Lord.
4. He sent circumstances that help me rely on him and result in stretching me so I can be all that he has called me to be.
5. He sends people to challenge me and help me with my walk so I can stay on the right path.

Everything has been spelled out with exact measurements and all the details for the tabernacle have to be done exactly right. I’m reminded of how God works in us as we are also being built as told in Ephesians 2:19-22. “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”
I was blessed last year to attend a women’s Bible Study on the tabernacle, including the building details, the materials, etc. It was a beautiful study.
I am awed by God’s instructions on the 4 coverings of the tabernacle. The material inside was beautiful and embroidered with cherubs. The outer 3 layers were common and not so beautiful. To the pagans around them, the tabernacle would look like any other Bedouin tent … but inside, the detail was beautiful. God sees and cares about what’s inside us too. And that’s how we should view others.
Hebrews 10:19,20 says the veil between the holy and the most holy place represents Jesus’ flesh.
The only opening was on the east side. When our Lord returns to Jerusalem, He will enter through the Eastern Gate.
Blair, Jeanine, and Jim I am in awe of your ability to understand and know scripture. I pray I can grow in my faith and knowledge of the Bible like all of you. I don’t think I know a single scripture by heart. I really appreciate the insight and verse pairings you bring each day. I am learning more from you than I could on my own and I am thankful God placed you in my life, even if our only correspondence is virtual. At times my human instinct is to compare myself to all of you and tell myself how little I bring to the table in this group with my knowledge and comments. But then I say, Not today Satan! But I just wanted to say, thank you, thank you, thank you! Your thoughtful, knowledgeable, wise comments, are teaching me more than you know!
I am in agreement with your comments. I am enjoying this journey and what I have learned from it.
Sarah, God shows us different things at different times in our walk with Him. It is as it should be. Be encouraged to continue to go deeper and continue to grow. I still have so much to learn but I’m so grateful for what He has allowed me to learn through trials and tests. I think we continue to learn all our days until He calls us home. There was a time when I thought I’d lost my ability to memorize verses. A Godly brother asked me once what I would do if a digital or paper Bible was no longer available to me. What would I do if I couldn’t read the Word … that’s when God helped me to memorize again – so I would have the Word in my heart when I need it. We have an awesome God!
Zac Weikal, thanks so much for the post.Much thanks again. Really Cool.
