Good morning EVERYBODY!
Exodus chapter 11.
We see things are getting close to the end where Pharaoh will let the people go. Up to this point, Moses and Aaron have walked faithfully with the Lord. They were obedient with everything God asked them to do before Pharaoh. As a result, God's wonders were seen by all of Egypt. As a result Moses was highly regarded or respected by Pharaoh's officials and the people. I have come to believe that if we walk faithfully with the Lord, being obedient to his WORD, people will see God's light shine through us and from us. And though there will always be those who hate that we are Christians, there always be those unbelievers who will respect us despite the fact that we are Christians.

Sarah, thanks for being so transparent yesterday with your struggle with forgiveness with your one friend. My respect for someone increases when they are transparent and real about their struggles. Which is the opposite of our own thinking. People often feel they have to cover their struggles for fear others will think less of them. We all have our struggles and I admire your openness! I am praying for God’s strength and empowerment. Blessings!!!
I sense that Moses has gained quite a bit of respect from the Egyptians since the first time that he came to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go and then as he continued on to warn about the coming plagues. Meanwhile Pharaoh keeps looking more and more foolish. While the pharaohs were treated like gods, the people are also seeing how everything that Moses has said has come true while their ruler keeps allowing all these terrible things to take place by not listening to Moses or taking any action to prevent the plagues from happening. I agree with Pastor Blair that when people see our integrity, most of them will show us more respect even if they may not believe the same as us, but being genuine as a trustworthy person can always help open the door.
Sarah, I just read about your situation that you shared yesterday. Thanks for your courage and willingness to open up about that struggle. I will be praying for God to help you as He would bring you peace and healing in your relationship with your coworker. I have been so encouraged by you and all of those who regularly comment on these daily Bible readings! Remember that we don’t have to face difficulties alone because God is always with us!
Amen Jim!!! Thanks for all you share as well and your encouragement!
Good morning PB,
This verse spoke to me this morning. Exodus 5 Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
God will get his point accrossed. killing every first born is sure to get someones attention. its one thing to have disaster strike you, (this too shall pass) but when it affects others , even slave girls and cattle, then everyone is screaming for help, there is an urgency, plus i would rather suffer than to see others suffer
Thank you for the prayers and encouragement! I feel so connected and committed to this group and I look forward each day to reading a new chapter and insightful comments!
God certainly is about to show His authority over Egypt. He is no deal maker and pharaoh has brought everyone so much destruction but this will be the worst devastation they’ve seen yet. It reminds me that in life we will face people in power, people who are elected leaders, and they might not bring what is best to our life and our society. We have to stand firm in the Word of God and share His truth so that others can know what is right.
