Good morning EVERYBODY!
Genesis chapter 39.
A horrible set of events has occurred with Joseph but each time it says the Lord was with Joseph. He was sold into slavery and later put in prison. But God was with him. I think about times in my life that seemed like a disaster but I can look back and say God was with me even though at that given time it seemed like he was far away. I want to be able to look at each day as a day that the Lord has made and he is always with me and never will leave me nor forsake me. Because of God, I can get through any or every situation before me.
Also, I saw Joseph as a man of integrity. He did not want to sin against God. When Potiphar's wife grabbed his cloak so he would lie with her, temptation came up on Joseph. When Temptation came he had to make a decision and he chose to flee from temptation. When I'm faced with temptation, the best answer is to run from temptation. Don't dilly dally but get out of the situation immediately. To give into temptation is to sin against God.
Lord help me trust you are with me every day no matter what. Lord help me to be a man of integrity.

Although it may look to an outsider like Joseph’s life is going in the wrong direction with being enslaved and then thrown into prison, this was actually all part of God’s plan. We read that the Lord was with Joseph and whatever Joseph did, God made it succeed. Whether we may be misunderstood, mistreated or even falsely accused, God knows the truth and He can help us in our darkest moments. It’s so important to be a person of integrity and continue trusting God during those difficult times when we may not see the big picture or understand what is going on. The life of Joseph gives me such great hope in knowing that whatever we may face in our life, God has promised to be with us and He can ultimately use whatever it is for good.

No matter how bad a situation Joseph finds himself in, he doesn’t focus on what he doesn’t have but rather throws himself into the tasks before him and did them well. As a result, God blesses him over and over again. Col 3:17 – Whatever you do in word or deed, do all for the glory of God. May that be my challenge each and every day.
What a great example Joseph is!! If ever there was an example for doing your best no matter what, this is it! We can’t always choose the way we’re treated or the situations we’re in, but what we can control are our actions and attitudes. Despite being sold into slavery, Joseph does his best in all situations and it says that the Lord was with him and prospered him. The Lord even blessed Potiphar for Joseph’s sake. Later, when Joseph is put into prison, he continues to do his best and God continues to bless him. In all things, Joseph was a trustworthy person. Both Potiphar and the prison keeper had no need to worry about anything because they could trust Joseph to take care of it. It makes me wonder if I am a person that people can trust with anything and everything? And I love that when temptation presented itself, there was no question about what to do. He didn’t mess around with it, he clearly said that it would be a sin against God and fled.
Wow. What a blessing this chapter is and what a blessing it is to have Joseph as an example to live by! In this life we WILL be tempted. Over and over again and we must stand firm in Christ and the Lord and not give into it. We also will have people in this life who lie about us and lie about the things we have done and mistreat us. No matter though, God is FOR us! One of my all time favorite sayings, and I’m not sure where in the Bible it is, but it’s something like, if God is for me, than who can be against me! When I am facing a difficult situation or know I will have to deal with a hurtful, scary, confrontational person, that Ilis something I repeat to myself over and over. And now I see how Joseph stayed true to the in genesis 39
