God gave Moses two promises. The first promise Moses questioned. God answered and Moses believed and it was said it was a righteous Act. To believe and trust God is to display an act of righteousness. I concluded that to not believe and not trust God would be an unrighteous act or sin.
The second promise was about possessing land. Moses questioned God and Moses found God's answer as he was before God at the altar. I believe God wants to help us in areas that we are struggling with or questioning. I also believe that if we are before the Lord, devoting our time to him, with open and listening hearts, he will reveal himself to us. I believe he will help us with the area we are struggling.
Do I trust God? Do I trust God in areas that I am currently questioning him about. Do I trust to take care of the needs that are before me or the concerns that are before me? I want to be able to trust him in all areas!

Hahaha! I wrote down Moses today instead of Abram! I didn’t know how to change it after it got entered into the system so pretend it says Abram every time you read Moses! I read another part in the Bible this morning about Moses and had his name locked into my mind. Sorry about that!
See – that ‘s what happens with each birthday! chuckle!
Hahaha! So true!!
I love God’s patience with Abram in this passage. When the Lord told Abram that He was his reward; Abram asks what will you give me. The Lord promised Abram a grand family and a glorious land only to have Abram ask for proof. Even when giants of faith like Abram have their struggles and doubts – God continues to walk with them and work through them. He does the same with you and me. Amen?
Chapter 15 begins with God telling Abram not to fear. This seems to be the case many times throughout the Bible when the Lord or an angel of the Lord speaks to someone. The first thing that is usually spoken is for the human to not be afraid. Wow! Just imagine what it would be like to have that kind of experience directly with the Maker of all things or to receive His message from one of His angels! It seems to me that fear would probably be a natural reaction as a human being, but God doesn’t want us to live our lives in fear. We read in 2 Timothy 1:7 that God gave a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
