God told Noah and his family to multiply and so they did. Many nations were developed over all the earth. I feel like this is the “Introduction” of a book. It's setting the groundwork for what is to come. I'm waiting with anticipation to see what's going to happen next.
My walk with Christ is like that. I meet new challenges and I wait with anticipation with what will happen next. Some challenges are tough and require much prayer and Faith. It stretches my faith which I don't always enjoy. For example when we did the Fall festival at camp, it was huge and required almost 70 volunteers. I fretted over that and prayed often. I asked people to help if possible. Come the day of the Fall Festival, we had volunteers show up that were never on the list. I had more volunteers than I needed. God likes to stretch my faith and put me in situations that help me focus on him and teach me to trust him.

We read about who the people are who came after Noah as his family grows with the genealogies listed in chapter 10 as God began to repopulate the earth.
I hope you enjoy this song called Noah Man.

Jim! How do you come up with all these songs and such? It’s added flavor to the readings!
Thanks Pastor Blair. The born-again music by ApologetiX has blessed me so I want to share it as a blessing to others too.
Chapter 10 is known as the Table of Nations. It is the beginning point of our understanding of world history and anthropology. (The Ark Encounter in KY has a large table of nations on display.) Many of the names of Noah’s descendants became the names for geographical areas in the ancient world where they settled as well as names of the people. According to famed historian, Herodotus, ancient people universally recognized Magog as present day Russia. The Great Wall of China, built to keep out the Russians is called the Wall of Magog by the Chinese people. Also of note – the children of Eber or the Hebrews in v21 – Eber in Hebrew means “crossing over” – very fitting name for a people who would leave Ur under Abraham and who under Moses’ leadership would cross over into the promised land.
Honestly, these are chapters that I would normally skim or skip over. It’s easy to get bogged down by all the names and places. I appreciate being able to read the other comments though and learning different information about these chapters that I’ve never heard before.
Terri I completely agree. I am a reading teacher and struggle to pronounce almost every name and it gets discouraging. I appreciate the knowledge and insight others have on chapters like this. It helps me to see them in a different light, with more purpose and new life. Thank you to all!
