Good morning! I hope you're having a great day! Genesis Chapter 2.
In 6 days God completed the vast array of his creation. On the seventh day he rested from all his work. He made the 7th day Holy. The 7th day we are told to rest. No work. A holy day meaning it is set apart from all the others to become a special day, yes holy day, but a day set apart for the Lord. The other days, we are to work. God has called us to be workers. When we pursue the will of God it will require a great deal of work. Sometimes very hard work. Sometimes very overwhelming – so overwhelming we feel the need to work on our day of rest. But God is calling us to rest because he knows getting burned out is a possibility and wants to protect us. This has been a weak area for me over many years. I find myself better at resting now than I ever have been. But there's always room for improvement. I want my day of rest to be a day of rest and an opportunity to focus on the Lord. I want to give him what he deserves and not try and get what I think I need.

Breathe on me breath of God, fill me with life anew, that I may love what thou dost love and do what thou wouldst do.
God took perfection and then put man in a perfect environment and the minute he made a rule concerning the one thing we are to leave alone, we gravitate toward that! Why!
I struggle with the keeping the seventh day holy. As I Teacher I try to prepare for the week ahead and usually late afternoon Sunday anxiety starts creeping in about all that needs to get done. I also question if I should go anywhere like to a restaurant, the grocery store, etc. because others are working on Sunday when we all should be taking a day to reflect and worship. I even have found myself disappointed with certain stores being closed on Sundays… revisiting this chapter helps me to refocus and make sure I can commit my day back to Jesus.
After reading in Genesis 1:31 about how everything was very good, now we read in Genesis 2:18 that it wasn’t good for Adam to be alone. Could you imagine naming all of those animals, but not finding anyone suitable to be your helper? God took care of the situation. I hope you enjoy Animals I Have Begun.

I find that when I try to keep Sunday holy it is very special to me. When I get involved in social activities it looses that special holy feeling. I also use it as a time for visiting shut-ins, writing letters, reading. We still usually have a Sunday evening service at church which is a blessing as well.
I enjoy going to church being around other Christian friends! Enjoy being able to worship together! It’s just so amazing just to stop and look around to see Gods creation!
I enjoy Sunday because I can go and worship with other Christian people and hear a great sermon and apply it to my life. God made this world beautiful! God is good.
