Greetings everyone. Thanks for wanting to be challenged to read God’s Word on a daily basis. I pray you continue to push forward and grow in your faith love walk with the Lord.
Genesis chapter 1. God created all things. He created all the universe and on the sixth day He stopped to make us, his people. We must be pretty significant and valuable in his sight. He must love us very much. It says that he made us verses speaking us into being. He made us in His image. He put us in charge and wants us to be responsible with the decisions we make. Colossians 1:16 says for by Jesus all things are created and we were created for his purpose. Are the lives we are living, fulfilling what God wants to do in our lives and through our lives? Or are we too busy trying to accomplish what we want to accomplish rather than what God wants to accomplish?

I am always amazed what God has done just by His word. From the beginning of creation in Genesis 1 to Revelation 22 . Got to love it!
I felt inspired reading this scripture this morning. Although it is one I am familiar with, I have been out of the Word for so long, it was refreshing to come back (home) and read each word. After this chapter I feel challenged to pay closer attention to all that God has created around us, viewing it with awestruck wonder.
What a great way to start the day!!! ( do I need to brush my teeth first?)
We’ve been doing a lot of discussions on evolution and creation in Sunday School lately and watching a lot of videos by Ken Ham so it’s hard not to comment from that standpoint. It’s comforting and amazing to know that God created everything after it’s own kind. Every plant, every fruit, every creature, every person was uniquely designed and created with thought and purpose.
I looked as these verses with greater intensity this morning. There was water before anything else! And, I wonder why it says “the evening and the morning were the ____ day.” instead of morning and evening as we would probably say it today. No deep theological statements nor questions but just observations of getting into the Word with more intensity. It’s so good to be doing this with friends!
The Jewish people follow this tradition to this day – their day begins with sundown. It’s a beautiful way to look at a day because it’s begins with darkness and then the light comes!
I once read that for non-believers to say the universe “just happened” or “evolved” requires more faith than to believe that God created this wonderful universe. So true. They get caught up in trying to understand a process that we may never be able to understand with our human minds. The process isn’t as important as acknowledging the Creator. And so begins our journey in reading the greatest love story ever told ….
I’m so thankful God created me and how beautiful he made the world.

I know it’s late but I am so glad Pastor Blair is doing this. I struggle with daily reading of the bible because of my crazy schedule. I have read this verse over and over again but it never seizes to amaze me the wondrous things our God created!
