Zechariah Chapter 1. Will God show Mercy today?
God speaks through the prophet Zechariah. God's people are told to repent and draw near to God and when they do God will draw near to them.
At that time, God's mercy will be shown to them and they will again prosper and be comforted by the Lord. Then God will use them to rebuild his house.
Are we daily walking toward the Lord or are we too distracted with life's responsibilities? Can you imagine how our lives would change if we pursued God with all our hearts? For Judah, the people received mercy and God caused them to prosper and then used them to do his work.
What if God is saying He has more for us? Would we want it? What have we got to lose? Let us draw near to God daily and see what he chooses to do in our lives and through our lives. Watch and see how he intervenes in our life decisions and watch and see how he opens up new doors of opportunities to serve him.
1. I pray we would pursue God with all our hearts.
2. I pray for God's mercy to come upon us and show us his blessings through answered prayers and through his provisions for our lives.
3. I pray we would find new purpose through his Holy Spirit.
James 4:7-8a says, “Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
