| Ezekiel Chapter 9. We are to live by a higher standard. In the spirit realm, God appointed six men who would bring judgment upon the city. He appointed one man who would go throughout the city and mark the foreheads of those who hated the sins of the people. Every forehead not marked would face God's judgment without Mercy. Those whose foreheads were marked, their lives were spared. It's amazing to look at God's judgment in this chapter because it started in the church. His judgment fell on the hypocrisy of the church first then went throughout the city. Look at our churches today. Even now the churches have compromised sin within the body of believers. We the church tolerate sexual immorality, people living together, drunkenness, homosexuality, and the list goes on. This isn't just the members of the church this is also the leaders of the church and even pastors. Sin is no longer treated as sin but it's tolerated and even encouraged. God says when his judgment comes it will come with no pity or compassion, people will get what they deserve. What sins have I let crept into my heart? What lusts have I justified because everybody else is doing it? Let's get back to the Bible, to God's HOLY standards and not live by the standards of the world. We are called to be different. We are called to be separate from the worldly patterns. II Corinthians 6:17-18 Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” |
