Jeremiah Chapter 19. God wants to heal the broken hearted!
Jeremiah was instructed by God to buy a clay jar from a Potter then to take some of the leadership and go to a certain location and Proclaim God's words. Jeremiah tells the people that God is going to bring his disaster on Judah because they have forsaken him. Jeremiah then broke the clay jar before them and said God will break the nation just like the jar and it won't be able to be repaired.
Judah was so evil before the Lord and they refused to listen to his prophet Jeremiah. Because of that, God's disaster was promised against them. If only they would repent of their sins and return to the Lord. In reality, God is a loving God. But he won't tolerate disobedience.
The good news is, if we would but bring to God our broken lives, he will help heal our brokenness and restore us into proper order, able to be used for his glory and his purpose.
Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted, but we have to repent and surrender our brokenness to him and he'll heal us. But if we are like Judah and refuse to confess our sins and repent of our sins and disobedience, then we will face God's wrath.Give him your brokenness.
Luke 4:18 Jesus said about the Father, “He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted.”
Psalm 147:3 “[God] heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”
