Jeremiah Chapter 2. Here We Go Again.
This prophecy is like previous prophecies against Israel. God says,
1) You loved and followed me in holiness.
2) You rebelled and turned from me and turned to false gods, the lusts of the world.
3) Even religious leaders such as priests, Prophets, and leaders of God quit seeking Him.
4) Despite their rebellious heart they claim they are innocent and feel God's not angry with their disobedience.
5) When evil comes on them, they blame God rather than take responsibility for their own actions. If you turn from God, God will let you suffer consequences for your actions in hopes you'll turn back to him 100%.
6) God's judgment will come so be ready.
Do you still love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength?
Is living a holy and pure life still important to you or are you like the religious leaders who have turned from God?
Do you claim your innocence and act as if God is okay with your life choices?
When negative consequences come, do you blame God or do you take responsibility for your own actions?
