Isaiah Chapter 64. God, mold me, like clay, into the person you want me to be.
Israel, in their darkest moments of sin and during the consequences of their sins, came to their senses and recognized God as the one and only true God. That he is to be in control. That he is the Potter and they are the clay.
May we come to our senses and recognize God as the Potter and we are the clay. This requires complete surrender from our lives to the Lord. This is giving God permission to do whatever he wants in and through our lives. It's giving him permission to make us more like Jesus and to use us wherever and whenever he wants to.
MY PRAYER: Dear God, I admit at times I like to be in control of my life but also admit when I take the reins of life I fail. So I again surrender my life to you. Make me the Christ follower you want me to be. I realize to become more like Jesus it requires going through difficult times to stretch my faith and help me become mature in my faith. But you promise to be with me always and to help me in and through my challenges in life. So make me who you want me to be and use me wherever you want to use me. Mold me and make me so I'm like YOU so I can share the message of Hope to others.
I want to be used but I want you in control and not me. Amen!
