Isaiah chapter 43. God loves us! Do we love God?
I break this chapter down into two sections:
1) God loves us and 2) Do we love God?
1) God loves us. I love the words used in this chapter because God says his people are precious and honored in his sight and he loves them.
If we could just grasp God's love for us then nothing could tear us down. Satan wants us to feel no good and ugly but God says different. He loves us and we are precious in His sight and he wants to honor us in order to make us feel important because we are important.
If we could understand his love then we'd know we don't have to live in guilt over our sins because we know that if we confess our sins, he's able to forgive us of all sins.
We don't have to live in fear because God is always with us. He's our Savior and there is no other Savior.
2) Do we love God? Do we love him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength? Do we call on the Lord or do we want to be in control? Do we make sacrifices for the Lord or are we too busy making time for our plans? Have we repented from our sins?
Let's surrender our whole lives over to the Lord: let's surrender our control over to the lord. Let us surrender our plans over to the lord. Let us confess our sins over to the Lord and turn away from them completely so that we are 100% devoted to the Lord and not just devoted on Sunday.
