Isaiah Chapter 37. Jesus Take the Wheel!
King Sennacherib of Assyria speaks many words of intimidation against King Hezekiah of Judah. King S. also mocks the God of Judah.
King Hezekiah humbly goes before God In Prayer and God responds by saying because you prayed I will intervene and save you without you even having to fight a battle or shoot an arrow. I will do this so that all nations will know that God is the only true and living God.
Let this be a lesson to us. The thing that God responded to was:
1) King Hezekiah humbly coming before the Lord recognizing he can't save Judah but knew God could.
2) King Hezekiah prayed to God for his help.
God responded:
1) God responds to a broken and humble heart.
2) God responds to our prayers.
3) God responds not so we get the glory but so that HE gets the glory.
As I have said before, let's do as God asks us to do:
1) Take everything to God In Prayer but do so with a broken and humble heart.
2) Don't be afraid but trust God to work.
3) Give God the glory and not yourself.
WHAT CAN YOU GIVE TO THE LORD TODAY? Let Him have the “Wheel!”
