Isaiah Chapter 29. You fooled me.
The key verse for me is verse 13 where it says there will be those who acknowledge God and honor him with their lips but their hearts are far from him. Their lives are living in disobedience and unholiness.
I don't want this to be me. It's so easy to be deceived. As a result, one lives apart from Christ but plays the part so well with one's words. In fact, it's easy to fool people and sometimes even fool yourself but not God.
The thing is, if your faith is not real because your heart is not in it, then you are deceived and will face God's wrath.
CHALLENGE:
Let's get real with our faith. Let's surrender our hearts so that our lives reflect obedience and holiness. So that we no longer are fooling people but rather become role models for others to follow. Perhaps you once had a dream or vision from God when your faith was strong or real. Has that dwindled? What do you need to do to get back to full surrender so you can fulfill God's purpose for your life?
