Isaiah chapter 27. What's the evidence of your faith?
Once again, we read a chapter giving an example of transformation in the lives of others. When sin was removed it says, true transformation occurred.
1) The practice of evil and practice of worshiping false gods stopped.
2) Where there was death and desolation, there is now restoration to Holiness and Worship to the Lord.
What's the evidence of our changed lives in Christ? Describe your transformation. If people followed each of us around, what would be different about our lives that people would say this person must be a Christian.
1) Hopefully the number one evidence would be our love toward others while not compromising sin.
2) Hopefully it would be our time spent with the Lord in the Word and in Fellowship.
3) Hopefully our language would be different.
4) Hopefully the things we lusted for would cease.
5) Hopefully the things we struggle with would become less and less noticeable. Only you and God know what that is.
Because of two areas I struggle with, I took a calendar and at the end of each day I put a ✓ for a good day and an X for a bad day. At the end of each week I can evaluate if I had a good or bad week.
Praise the Lord, this has resulted in great results because I don't want to see bad weeks. What are you struggling with? Give it a try. Pray for the Holy Spirit to help you or let your accountability partner know what you're doing so they can encourage you.
It brings results. Whether you struggle with cutting, or the use of bad language, or anger outbursts, lust, pornography, selfishness versus helping others, reading your Bible, going to church, doing nice things for your spouse, and the list goes on.
I'd love to hear testimonies.
