Isaiah chapter 14. Come back to the Lord.
A nation that one's followed God and served him completely has now turned their hearts away from the Lord. He declares his destruction upon them in hopes they will return to him.
A nation or an individual don't just wake up in the morning saying, “I guess I'll quit following Jesus”. It's a slow slow slow process. Your devotional time slows down or stops because you're “too busy”. You miss church a few times because of things that come up. Once you miss a few times, even with the intent of going again, your habit of going gets replaced with “work-related” activities or with “needed relaxation” time. And the people you hang out with get replaced with friends you haven't seen for a while. They're not Christians, but they're good friends and perhaps you can be a witness to them and influence their lives. But instead they gradually, gradually, gradually influence your life. Until the flame you once had for Christ is gone. You need a new fire in your life for the Lord.
Has the fire in your soul for Jesus dwindled or died down? You find yourself using dialogue such as, “I remember when I used to be on fire for the Lord!” Or “I remember when I was active with my faith!” “I used to do this and used to do that for the Lord!”
CHALLENGE:
Now is the time to surrender your heart again to the Lord and let him change you inside and out while bringing that fire back again for the Lord.
Here is a song that goes real well with this chapter:  https://youtu.be/QbJaM_EneMw
