Song of Solomon chapter 8. Be Committed.
The bride longs for the freedom to show affection in public with her beloved without people being disgusted by it.
Then she asks could she be set as a seal upon his heart which shows the strong commitment she desires for her beloved.
Oh that we as married couples would truly deeply desire that type of commitment. That we would commit to the marriage through the good and the bad. That we would fight to make a marriage work rather than be quick to end it. May we all examine our hearts and see how giving and unselfish we are in the marriage.
Do we expect our spouse to cater to us with all our needs and wants? Or are we willing to sacrifice our desires so that our spouses desires can be met? Imagine how more loving the relationship would be if both were trying to look out for the other versus just themselves. Just some thoughts.
