Daily Bible Challenge: Day 655 Proverbs Chapter 27

Verse one says don't boast about tomorrow because you don't have a clue what's going to happen tomorrow.

In other words, what are you doing today? What are you going to do today to impact a life? What are you going to do today to get closer to the Lord? Take advantage of today, right now! Be a light for somebody's dark world. Love the unlovable. Pray for the hurting. Love your enemy! There is so much we can do today but once we start thinking about tomorrow we lose focus of what God's trying to do NOW! I'M GUILTY!  I'm not saying don't plan for tomorrow, but if that's all we think about – is tomorrow, we miss opportunities to be a light for Christ TODAY!

Verse 2 says let someone else Praise You, versus you praising yourself!

I was once told that if you have to tell someone how “great” you are then there's a good chance you're not as “great” as you think.

If we are truly living our life the way God has called us, then people will see the love of Christ in us. They will see God's greatness displayed through our lives. We won't have to say anything about how “great” we are because people will begin to say it themselves.
