Proverbs Chapter 26. Don't be a Fool or a Sluggard.
Here's some tidbits I gathered from chapter 26.
– if you honor a fool they'll think they're foolish ways are acceptable and worthy of promoting.
– fools deserve to be disciplined.
– don't engage in a conversation with a fool because it's to easy to get sucked down to their level and you'll become just like them.
– the wisdom of a fool is useless.
-don't hire a fool it will only hurt your business.
– a fool will repeat their foolish ways.
-a sluggard sees danger but does nothing about it.
– a sluggard is dependent upon others for their survival. They expect others to take care of them.
I suppose if we were honest we could all think of times when we acted very foolishly or were very lazy.
Those trapped in these behaviors, require thinking of oneself over others. Both require a thought process that says I'm always right therefore one refuses to hear what others have to say because they don't want to have to admit that they're wrong.
CHALLENGE:
Life is not all about you. Have an open mind to what others think. Instead of having a closed mind and thinking you're always right.
