Daily Bible Challenge: Day 649 Proverbs Chapter 21

Verse 21 says, “Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor.”

This verse made me think of two passages in the Bible:

1) Matthew 6:33. But seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness and he will take care of your needs.

This is what captures the heart of God, our pursuit of him in righteousness and holiness.

2) John 13:33-34. a new commandment I give you, love one another. As I have loved you so you must love one another. All people will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.

CHALLENGE:

Pursue God and his righteousness. Be Holy. We are either pursuing God and his holiness or we are pursuing the pleasures of this world. Choose God!

2) Love people. Let us be consumed with wanting God to use us to love others, especially those who are hard to love, who have different political views, different religious views, the poor and rejected, and the lonely.

Do these things and you will find true life, prosperity and honor that comes from God.
