Psalms Chapter 114. What's your Testimony?
Thank you all for your responses and insight.
A short psalm and flashback. A testimony when God took the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. The red Sea split apart. The Jordan also stopped so that both times they could walk across dry land. God turned the hard Rock into a pool of water.
It's a short psalm but a great reminder of how God took his chosen people out of bondage, Egypt, and took them into the Promised Land. A lot happened, with many miracles from God, while on the journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. A great testing of God's love, forgiveness, patience, and salvation.
All followers of Christ have a testimony. What is your testimony? What is your bondage moment? What did God free you from? What was the key influence to your salvation experience? What has your journey looked like since your salvation? What trials have you faced along the way? What miracles have you seen God do? Are you shocked to be where you are today?
I accepted Jesus into my life at age 8 during a Baptist revival meeting. I've always believed in Jesus and expressed my faith in him, but I was not sold out to the Lord. I struggled with my low self-esteem. I recommitted My Life after high School and God began to change my heart and my identity. He begin to help me love myself, find my identity and my value in him. He began to show me He had a plan for my life. Jeremiah 29:11.
I have faced many obstacles and all of them were experiences God has used to test my faith and stretch my faith and conform me into the image of Christ. My heart and desire has grown for reaching lost souls. He's helped me in using my gifts to touch lives. He's shown me he has a plan for my life, although I prefer to call it an adventure. All adventures have their ups and downs. I've had my Faithful days and I've had my disobedient days. I've had my proud moments and I've had my embarrassing and shameful moments. Overall, by the grace of God, He's still my number one passion. My life is surrendered to him. I truly want to do what he wants me to do. I want to go where he wants me to go. I want to become what he wants me to become.
And one, day when he calls me home, I want to hear him say Well done my good and faithful servant Matthew 25:21. I look forward to the day I enter into the Promised Land, Heaven.
