Psalms Chapter 109. I am a Person of Prayer, I Think?!?
You all are AWESOME!  Keep persevering with God's Word.  It gives LIFE!
This chapter is a convicting chapter. The theme of this chapter is like many of the other Psalms:
1. The psalmist cries to God for help.
2. The psalmist shares with God how his enemies attack him.
3. The psalmist declares his praise to God.
What's different from this chapter is the psalmist makes a statement in amongst his turmoil and the attacks from his enemies. He says, “But I am a man of Prayer.”
OUCH! How convicting is that statement? Am I a man of Prayer?
– When I am attacked by the enemy because of my faith, am I a man of Prayer? Steven, in Acts 6 and 7, was the first man to be killed because of his faith after Jesus's Resurrection. While being stoned to death he fell on his knees and prayed, “Lord do not hold this sin against them.”  In other words, he said God forgive them.
– When I lose my money or find myself wondering if I'll have food today, am I a man of Prayer?
– When I I'm faced with sickness and despair, am I a man of Prayer?
– When I lose a loved one, am I a man of Prayer?
– When God answers my prayer and intervenes making himself known, am I a man of Prayer with Thanksgiving?
1st Thessalonians 5:16-17 says, “Be joyful always. Pray continually.”
In other words: rejoice always because you believe God is in control and He'll work things out. And pray continually because you believe in the power of prayer between you and The one and only Living God.
Challenge: be a person of prayer today and hopefully it will overflow into everyday.
I continually pray for you all!
