Daily Bible Challenge: Day 556 Psalms Chapter 78

Good morning my friends!

I have done several weddings for the Mosher family over the years. In one of the wedding's I mentioned how Christ has been shared from one generation to the next. How God has been a powerful influence in their lives. This chapter has reminded me of this family. I've known them since a teenager. I've seen their home destroyed by a tornado. I've seen one of their sons die of cancer and then their father die. I've seen them taken advantage of with such evil. Despite all the hardships they have faced, they have been strong to maintain their faith in the Lord. Their faith continues to be passed on to new generations.

This chapter is uncomfortable to me because I feel I have been just like the rebellious people. Even after God has done so many miracles, they still questioned God's ability to do a miracle for their new needs. Even while they were drinking the water that God miraculously brought through a huge Rock, even then they questioned whether or not God could supply them food to eat.

That's me more often than I wish to admit. God answers a prayer and does so miraculously but then I still question his ability to meet our needs in a new area. I'll let worry, fear, and doubt not just knock on the door of my heart, but even invite them in to settle.

I'm just thinking how differently I would live my life if I walked in faith daily. My attitude would change. My heart would change. My demeanor would change. I would be more joyful. More giving of praise. More encouraging to others. Smile more. And worry a whole lot less.

I want Christ to be passed on in generations to come about the wonders of our God and the Salvation that comes through Christ.
