Verse 1 starts off by saying, “Save me, oh God, by your name and vindicate me by your might.”  This reminds me of a song titled, “There is power in the name of Jesus.” These words are repeated over and over again. A great reminder that God has authority over everyone and everything. It is God and God alone who can:

1. Save our souls John 14:6.

2. Take what the devil meant for evil and turn it into good Romans 8:28 and Genesis 50:20.

3. Deliver us from evil and make us overcomers John 16:33 and 1 John 5: 4-5.

4. Give us victory over sin 1st Corinthians 15:54-57

Knowing God cannot be defeated, let us remember of the power of his forgiveness, and the power to make us overcomers in all situations.

Let's remember to turn everything over to the Lord!
