Psalms chapter 40. God WOW's us!
I have come to the following conclusions based upon chapter 40:
God responds to our prayers, but we must be patient. His response maybe NO or something we didn't hope for. But he responds.
God is a God of Mercy, Love, and Faithfulness. Even when we screw up big-time, we have such an amazing God that we can call out to him and he'll show his Mercy, Love, and Faithfulness. Forgiveness is always available.
He's a God of so many wonders. We can't even count them.
Because of who God is, we should be drawn to him. It should motivate us to want to have a life of:
1. Doing his will.
2. Trusting him even in the worst circumstances.
3. Being in the Word so it becomes embedded in our hearts and lives.
4. Proclaiming him to others.
5. Rejoicing always in him.
Verse 2 reminded me of the hymn “My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less” written by Edward Mote.
