Psalms Chapter 31. I trust you Lord!
The psalmist cries for help, as is popular in many of the Psalms. But something he says brings great hope.
“I trust in you, Lord!”
This reminds me of Proverbs 3:5-6 where it says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”
We have to stop trying to figure out what's happening with our lives. We can't keep leaning on our own understanding and interpretation of our life situations. We can't keep trying to take control as if we know what's best for us. We keep trying to make sense out of a situation that only God knows what really make sense. Only he can see the big picture. So what seems like an interruption in our life dreams may only be God's hand in helping us get where he really wants us. We see confusion and doubt, but God sees preparation and equipping. We see chaos and disruption, but God sees New direction and order. We see brokenness, tears and pain, but God sees growth and maturity and fulfillment.
God, I stop today. I quit trying to hold on to what you are wanting me to let go of and then declare my trust in you.
I took a 15 week, 15 lesson class called PERSPECTIVES. It put an increased desire in my heart for wanting to share the Gospel of Christ. This desire is within me. I can't shake it. I just can't figure out how God is going to fulfill this desire.
But today, I just say, “God I trust you!”  You will make sense of all this in your timing. Keep preparing me and teaching me and equipping me. Amen!
