Psalm Chapter 16. It's All about You, Jesus!
The psalmist says, “I said to the Lord, you are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.”
We are on this Earth for a very short time. We might think it's for eternity, but compared to eternity we are here on Earth for just a mere speck of time.
Life is all about the Lord Jesus. Apart from him we have no good thing. Do we believe that? Or are there things in this world that we crave for? Or are there things that we hunger for?
The psalmist says he has zero allegiance to any other god. He keeps his eyes on the Lord always. He will keep the Lord at his right hand.
In other words, the psalmist eats and sleeps and walks and lives the Lord!
What really consumes our thoughts? What really consumes our time? Is your life really all about Jesus or have we turned to other things, god's, in order to find fulfillment or pleasures. All such things will come to an end.
When we stand before God the Father will Jesus be standing at our right hand because that's where he was on this Earth? Or will we hear, “Depart From Me” because he wasn't “A PART Of ME” on Earth?
Is our life really all about Jesus?
I’m reminded today of John 15:5.
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in Him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
