Job Chapter 39. Who am I to Question God…Part 2.
Once again the Lord questions Job on whether or not he has the same majestic power as God himself. God mentions many miracles of life and the wisdom and knowledge required that goes with his power.
He asked Job if he can even come close to the Lord's wisdom and Majesty?
I'm reminded of Jesus's comment in John 15:5-6 where he says, “I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him he bears much fruit for apart from me you cannot do anything. If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up, and they gather them and cast them in the fire and they are burned.”
Let me highlight where Jesus says, “Apart from him we can't do anything.”
We are his creation, he is not our creation. It's by his power and might that we can even function, move and breathe. Zechariah 4:6 says, “Not by might nor by power but by God's spirit….” Somewhere along the line we have to grasp the understanding that our existence it's not because of ourselves but because of God's almighty power, and he has a purpose for our lives, and wants to use us for His Kingdom.
To be successful in this endeavor requires Great humility and surrender to the Lord. Arrogance on our part is a killer of our soul. When we think we have the right to run our own lives and do our own thing, we push God away.
James 4:7-10 is a great passage that talks about the value of humbling ourselves before God and submitting ourselves before God.
Doing so gives God the freedom to both work in and through our lives.
Once you start to think you've got this world under control, remember, apart from God you can't do anything! Stay humble and stay submitted to God.

Apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. If we tried to live our life on our own without Jesus, it would be a mess.
Our lives should be built on Jesus as we read about Him as the cornerstone in Matthew 21:42.
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
